EDIT: Yay got a scan of this while I was in college scanning my expressive piece.
Yay, first and sort of last pic of the year combined XD Started it on the 31st and didn't get the chance to finish it until just now :3
Wanted to do something with alot of bright colours but couldn't decide on what and I remembered seeing loads of awesome photos with people flipping their hair in the water like that and thought that'd be fun to literally splash some colour about a page.
Hope it worked out alright, don't know whether or not to make the blue water bit right at bottom a bit darker or not.
It's painted on 20" x 16" watercolour paper so I just took a photo for now as I've only got an A4 scanner. Maybe see if I can get it into college when we start back and borrow their A3 scanner.
Hopefully this'll be a start to lots more art coming from me this year since last year was quite pitiful in regards to drawing/painting of any kind. So fingers crossed I'll be on here alot more in 2013 :3
A stunning display which showed both creativity and emotion. I really hope that you continue this level of imagination, if you will then I am sooooo gonna watch you. I certainly loved the water droplets in her hair and how you made the splash into a rainbow like semi sphere (if thats what you call it) The detail in the character's hair and face bring out the stunning beauty that lys within. I'm pretty sure she's a mermaid but sorry if you mentioned that in the description, I haven't read that yet so I apologize in advance. To describe this in three words I would have to say: Creative, Beautiful, and Emotional. Keep up the fantastic work.
Thanks :hugs: it does brighten up the corner of my room where it's sitting. Wish I had more wall space since I've got none of my own work up, think I might actually have put this up if I had room for it.
Wow, super quick comment... thanks very much it certainly was alot of fun to play with all the colours so she may make more appearances as the year goes on ^_^
